U.S. SENATE – U.S. Senator Steve Daines today announced that $1,611,602 in grants from the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) will be directed towards Montana to support public access, outdoor recreation and conservation projects. “This is great news for Montana,” Daines said. “This LWCF funding could help increase public access to public lands, expand access to fishing sites, and promote outdoor recreation. Daines Announces $86 Thousand Grant to Strengthen Fish Habitation and River Flow in French Creek

U.S. SENATE — On the heels of House Interior Appropriations plus-up of LWCF, U.S. Senator Steve Daines wrote a letter to U.S. Senate Interior Appropriations Committee Leadership urging the full funding of the Land and Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) and to build on momentum for stronger funding in the Senate bill.
