U.S. SENATE —U.S. Senator Steve Daines today released the following statement after the U.S. Senate confirmed President Donald J. Trump’s nominee for Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), U.S. Representative Mike Pompeo with bipartisan support.
“Mike will bring strong leadership to the CIA and work tirelessly to protect the American people and our security,” Daines stated.
On January 18, Daines met with Pompeo in his Washington, D.C. office where they discussed the critical balance between privacy and security to protect the American people and thwart attacks on the homeland.
