U.S. SENATE —U.S. Senator Steve Daines and U.S. Representative Greg Gianforte are urging the Trump administration to prioritize the Rock Creek and Montanore Mines that have languished in bureaucracy and litigation for far too long. The Montanore and Rock Creek projects located in Lincoln County and Sanders County will mine two of only four silver and copper deposits in the country. Both projects require additional analysis and coordination among the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service after decades of analysis and litigation. U.S. SENATE — U.S. Senators Steve Daines and Jon Tester today testified in front of the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works on their bill to reverse the ruling of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cottonwood Environmental Law Center v. U.S. SENATE —U.S. Senator Steve Daines yesterday discussed the importance of land managers working together with power providers protect Montana’s electric grid reliability and reduce the severity and intensity of wildfires.
