Tillerson will put America first
U.S. SENATE —U.S. Senator Steve Daines today released the following statement after meeting with President-elect Donald J. Trump’s Secretary-designee for the U.S. Department of State, Rex Tillerson.
“Under Rex Tillerson’s leadership, our allies and enemies will know that the United States will keep our promises and put America’s national security interests first,” Daines stated. “He is ready to bring his vast knowledge and experience in working with different governments and leaders in every corner of the globe as Secretary of State.”
Daines and Tillerson discussed the importance of renegotiating the disastrous the Iran Deal, restoring American leadership and maintaining the United States relationship with Israel. They also discussed opening Chinese markets to U.S. beef imports and the importance of maintaining our peace through strength strategy at Malmstrom AFB.
