Daines Announces Over $5.7 Million For Montana Airports

U.S. SENATE — U.S. Senator Steve Daines today announced that $5,762,100 will be allocated to Harlem Airport and Glacier Park International Airport. The grants will be used to expand and strengthen air travel infrastructure and support Montana jobs and tourism.

“These resources will allow Glacier Park International and Harlem Airports to update their facilities and expand services for Montanans and tourists that travel to Big Sky Country. This will help support Montana’s tourism sector, Montana jobs and our economy,” Daines said.

The $5,762,100.00 will be distributed to the following airports:

·         $3,862,100.00 to Glacier Park International in Kalispell, MT to rehabilitate and expand the apron.

·         $1,900,000.00 to Harlem Airport in Harlem, MT to rehabilitate runways, runway lighting, taxiways and the apron.

Daines helped secure this funding through the Airport Improvement Program in December 2020.
