BOZEMAN – It’s not uncommon for new moms to find themselves in a race to find a private place to breastfeed their child or pump. But a new bill aims to require lactation rooms in federal spaces. The Fairness For Breastfeeding Mothers Act introduced by Sen. Steve Daines passed unanimously through the Senate on Wednesday. With bipartisan support, the bill now heads to the desk of President Donald Trump. The bill requires a dedicated lactation room in most federal buildings, and bathrooms don’t count. Daines Secures Over $8 Million in Funding for Montana Airports, Communities
U.S. SENATE– U.S. Senator Steve Daines today announced that $8,019,366 million will be directed towards strengthening Montana’s air travel infrastructure across the state. “Strengthening the infrastructure that supports air travel in Montana is vital to our local economy,” Daines said. “These grants will lead to greater access for Montana’s visitors and more good paying jobs for Montana’s thriving tourism industry.” The funding is part of the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) under the Department of Transportation.
