U.S. SENATE – U.S. Senator Steve Daines today announced his resolution honoring the ten-year anniversary of enhanced cooperation between the United States and Central Asia passed the U.S. Senate last evening. Senators Gary Peters (D-Mich.), Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), Dave McCormick (R- Pa.) and Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) are cosponsors of the resolution.

“Central Asia is a strategically critical region, and since the launch of the C5+1 in 2015, we’ve made substantial progress in deepening the relationships between America and the five Central Asian nations of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. I’ve travelled to all five Central Asian countries and have a deep appreciation for our mutual goals, including increased trade and national security. I’m proud that my resolution commemorating ten years of C5+1 passed the U.S. Senate and look forward to the continuation of our partnerships,” said Daines.
