Introduces Resolution Condemning Attacks and Supporting Israel’s Sovereignty
U.S. SENATE – U.S. Senator Steve Daines, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, today released the below statement commemorating the second anniversary of the terror attacks in Israel by Hamas on October 7th, 2023:
“As we remember the second anniversary of the October 7 terrorist attacks we mourn for those who lost loved ones and those who are still in captivity at the hands of the Hamas terrorist regime. I remain hopeful that Hamas will accept and implement the details of the peace deal proposed by President Trump and that all the hostages will be released. There can be no lasting peace in the Middle East until Hamas is dismantled and the Palestinians recognize that the Jewish state of Israel has every right to exist,” said Daines.
Daines joined Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) and 24 of his Republican colleagues in introducing a resolution that condemns the Hamas-led terrorist attacks of October 7th. The resolution also states support for Israel’s sovereignty and condemns antisemitism in the United States.
Daines has been a staunch supporter of Israel’s war against Hamas- read more HERE.
