Daines On the Supreme Court’s Ruling on Nationwide Injunctions:

Clearly a win for President Trump, as the president is working here to secure our nation and to ensure that we have the right processes for immigration in this country and not an abuse of it. The president has been bold in his leadership. He’s taken an out-of-control situation with our open border and now sealed it. [We’ve seen] the worst results under Joe Biden, and the best results ever under President Trump. But he also looked at some of the systemic causes and this birthright citizenship has been abused. President Trump has boldly led on this issue. I’m glad to see the courts here giving the president a win. It’s a good thing.

Daines On Peace in the Middle East:

This is an extraordinary moment, a moment of optimism. Thanks to the resolve and the strong leadership of President Trump and his team, we are now in a moment to build on the Abraham Accords that the president put in place in his first term, and now to bring peace to Gaza. Why are we at this moment? It’s because Hamas is weak, Hezbollah is weak, the Houthis are weak, and now the Iranians are weak. That is all about strength. That is about imposing the strength of America and the Israelis in terms of neutralizing military capabilities of these terror groups. And that brings us to a moment in Gaza where we could restore peace to that troubled part of the world. You’ve got to go back and remember- back in 2005, that’s when there was world pressure for the Israelis to withdraw from Gaza. And that then put Hamas in place. The plan the president is putting forth here is to have UAE, the Egyptians, others as part of the accountability to make sure the right leadership is in place to ensure the Palestinians have peace in Gaza.
