U.S. SENATE – U.S. Senator Steve Daines, Chairman of the European Subcommittee on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, issued the following statement today after the Conference of European Rabbis was forced to relocate its biannual meeting from Sarajevo to Munich:
“Officials in Sarajevo have no moral clarity. Hamas terrorists funded by Iran brutally attacked Israel on October 7, 2023. They raped Jewish women and murdered countless others in the worst tragedy for Israel since the Holocaust. Israel has every right to defend itself against this terror. It’s hard to believe this even needs to be explained, but calling Israel’s actions genocide when Hamas terrorists use residents of Gaza as human shields is wrongheaded and an excuse to carry out antisemitic actions like the officials in Sarajevo did with the Conference of European Rabbis,” said Daines.
