Daines Reacts to President Biden’s State of the Union Address

U.S. SENATE – U.S. Senator Steve Daines today issued the following statement in response to President Biden’s State of the Union address:

“President Biden has surely had a record-breaking year. Soaring gas and food prices continue to cripple the budgets of Montana families, record illegal crossings on our southern border continue to make our nation’s fentanyl crisis worse, and China continues to challenge our sovereignty and security seemingly with ease. No one in Montana was fooled by the President trying to whitewash his record. It is time for the President and Senate Democrats to stop putting the radical Left above the needs of Montana families, listen to the concerns of working Americans and get our country back on track.”

This year, Senator Daines brought Tom Schrapps of Butte, Montana, as his guest for President Biden’s State of the Union address. Mr. Schrapps lost his son Reilly to fentanyl poisoning in July 2022.
