Daines Votes Against Democrats’ Election Takeover Bill

U.S. SENATE — U.S. Senator Steve Daines today voted against the Democrats’ latest attempt at a federal election takeover.

“This is another blatant attempt by Senate Democrats to take control of our elections, undermine state voting laws and make it easier to cheat. Democrats know they can’t win without rewriting the rules in their favor,” Daines said. “Thanks to Governor Gianforte and Secretary of State Jacobsen, we strengthened Montana’s election integrity laws to ensure everyone who is eligible to vote can, and that they can rest assured their vote will count. I’d suggest the Democrats instead focus on addressing the numerous crises they have caused under President Biden like skyrocketing prices and the catastrophe at our southern border.”
