U.S. Senate – U.S. Senator Steve Daines today announced that the Department of Labor (DOL) released a plan to allow students enrolled at Montana Job Corps Centers to safely return for in person learning. This follows Daines’ request to the administration.
“I’m so glad to see the Department of Labor act on my request to provide in person learning for students enrolled at Montana Job Corps Centers,” Daines said. “Job Corps centers provide valuable educational and vocational training in skilled trades to folks all across our state. I’m glad that our Job Corps students can return to in person learning to prepare them to fill good paying, high demand jobs that are critical to Montana’s economy.”
Yesterday, Daines sent a letter calling on the DOL to allow students to return to in person learning as a majority of Job Corps careers are hands on and require in person training.
