U.S. SENATE– U.S. Senator Steve Daines today announced that $8,019,366 million will be directed towards strengthening Montana’s air travel infrastructure across the state.
“Strengthening the infrastructure that supports air travel in Montana is vital to our local economy,” Daines said. “These grants will lead to greater access for Montana’s visitors and more good paying jobs for Montana’s thriving tourism industry.”
The funding is part of the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) under the Department of Transportation. As a member of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Subcommittee, Daines was instrumental in securing funding for the Airport Improvement Program.
The $8,019,366 will be disbursed for the following counties:
- $200,000.00 for the West Yellowstone Airport
- $243,000.00 for Conrad Airport
- $147,136.00 for Thompson Falls Airport
- $150,000.00 for the Stanford/Biggerstaff Field Airport
- $357,000.00 for the Dillon Airport
- $3,048,308.00 for the Helena Regional Airport
- $188,617.00 for the Bert Mooney Airport
- $65,000.00 for the Three Forks Airport
- $359,091.00 for the Big Timber Airport
- $2,100,000.00 for the Baker Municipal Airport
- $506,089.00 for the Lincoln Airport
- $397,980.00 for the Choteau Airport
- $257,145.00 for the Ronan Airport
