U.S. SENATE — U.S. Senator Steve Daines today applauded the finalization of the Department of Health and Human Services’ (HHS) “Protect Life Rule”, following Daines’ request, to disentangle abortion from the Title X Family Planning program.
“The Protect Life Rule is a historic step in protecting the dignity of human life,” Daines said. “I’m grateful for President Trump’s leadership to redirect Title X funds away from the abortion industry towards centers that provide comprehensive health care to women and their babies, like Montana’s 17 Community Health Centers.”
These regulations come in response to a letter Daines and 40 of his Senate colleagues sent to President Trump urging issuance of these regulations.
