The next step is for the agreement to come before Congress for consideration.
“I’m very pleased to see President Trump sign the new United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement today,” Daines said. “While the agreement still needs to come before Congress for approval, this is the next step towards finalizing trade negotiations with Canada and Mexico, and is critical to providing certainty for Montana farmers, ranchers and businesses. I’ve been actively working with the administration and my colleagues to make sure we get this agreement implemented, and I will continue to work to reduce barriers to trade and open markets abroad for Montana goods and services.”
