Montana Shooting Sports Association Endorses Judge Neil Gorsuch

U.S. SENATE —U.S. Senator Steve Daines today announced that Judge Neil Gorsuch secured the endorsement of the Montana Shooting Sports Association to be the next U.S. Supreme Court Associate Justice.

“Montana gun owners support and encourage confirmation of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court,” Gary Marbut, President of the Montana Shooting Sports Association. “We are frustrated with judges who believe the Constitution is an archaic piece of paper, meaningless, and to be ignored or circumvented with tortured reasoning.  We don’t like judges who adopt new meanings for critical words in the Constitution in order to skew its meaning into what they approve.  We want judges who accept the Constitution as the primary law of the land, and the amendments to the Constitution as changing and controlling the meaning of the underlying document.  We support Judge Gorsuch.”

“President Trump has made an excellent choice in nominating Judge Neil Gorsuch for the U.S. Supreme Court. He has an impressive record that spans decades. As a retired Sheriff of Ravalli County, Montana, I applaud Judge Gorsuch as a westerner and a sportsman, and I am confident he will be a strong defender of the Second Amendment and all of our freedoms when confirmed for a seat on the Supreme Court.”  Jay Printz, Sheriff (ret.), Ravalli County.

Daines penned an editorial on the importance of confirming Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court this week.
