Daines: McMahon Confirmed for Small Business Administration

U.S. SENATE —U.S. Senator Steve Daines today released the following statement after the U.S. Senate voted to confirm President Donald J. Trump’s nominee for Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration, Linda McMahon.

“Administrator McMahon knows what it takes to grow a business from the ground up,” Daines stated. “I have confidence that Administrator McMahon will work hand in glove with our nation’s small businesses to support their needs and efforts to grow our economy and create more good-paying jobs.”

Immediately following McMahon’s confirmation, Daines invtied her to Montana to see firsthand “the ingenuity and spirit of entrepreneurship.”

On January 11, Daines met with McMahon in his Washington, D.C. office. 

According to the Small Business Administration, Montana has over 117,000 small businesses in the state, making up 99.3 percent of all businesses. These organizations employ nearly 240,000 Montanans, or 66.0 percent of the state workforce.
