WASHINGTON, D.C. — Senator Steve Daines and Representative Ryan Zinke today congratulated Helena student Rob McCarvel on his appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Daines and Zinke spoke to McCarvel this morning to personally congratulate him on his appointment.

McCarvel, a senior at Capital High School in Helena, played American Legion Baseball and is on his high school’s varsity football team. “Bravo Zulu, Robert. One of the best perks of my job is nominating impressive young men and women to our nation’s service academies,” Zinke stated. “I’ve had the privilege of meeting many promising young men and women in both my Naval career and public service. I am confident Robert will make Montana proud. Keep up the good work!”
