Daines Renews Commitment to Repealing Obamacare

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Steve Daines today announced that he has joined his fellow Senate colleagues in introducing legislation to fully repeal Obamacare— a failed law that has raised healthcare costs for thousands of Montanans, harmed Montana jobs and small businesses and limited many Montanans’ access to the healthcare plans and doctors they want.

“We need to ensure health care is affordable and accessible for all Montanans, and that starts with repealing Obamacare and its costly mandates, burdensome taxes and senseless regulations,” Daines stated. “Obamacare is a misguided, poorly written law that has forced thousands of hardworking Montanans to lose the doctors that they trusted and health care plans that they liked. I’ll continue fighting to repeal this failed law and replace it with Montana-driven solutions that put patients and their doctors, not federal bureaucrats, back in charge of healthcare decisions.”

The Obamacare Repeal Act will fully repeal the President’s healthcare overhaul within 180 days of being enacted.

Daines has long been an outspoken critic of the bungled health care law. In the House, Daines faithfully worked to fully repeal the job-killing law and protect Montanans from its dozens of taxes and regulations. He supports real patient-centered solutions that protect Montanans’ access to their doctors and the health care plans they want.
